A Nagoya school wood netsuke depicting a sleeping shojo, signed Tadakazu. The shojo is laid on its side, head resting in one hand. Her hair runs down her back and onto the underside, with robes draped around her and trousers decorated with waves. The reddish-brown wood is worn and bears a fine patina.
