A karako peers out from a shishi-mai costume. His eyes ar inlaid in glass and inside the shishi-mai mouth is a movable ball in an amber-coloured material. The reddish brown wood is nicely worn and displaying a fine patina. The himotoshi is formed by a large opening under the costume and the exit ringed with green-stained material.
