A wood netsuke depicting a cute puppy resting upon a Jingasa, eyes inlaid with dark horn and hair work finely carved. The underside of the netsuke has been brilliantly rendered with the straps and fixing of the Jingasa very well carved. The dog, worn in places, has formed a lovely warm colour and nice patina.
