A spirited wood netsuke depicting Gama Sennin standing on one foot with a toad perched upon his shoulder. The face of Gama is well carved with his mouth wide open and deep features giving a great expression. The sennin’s clothes flow nicely giving a good sense of motion. The himotoshi is formed by an opening in the cloth and exits at the sennin’s back.
