An ashtray netsuke, the bowl lacquered in red, gold and black with a dark green lacquered dragon sitting on top of it. The single-horned dragon has a twin tail and the body is raised slightly to form the himotoshi. The green lacquer of the wood is worn to reveal the beautifully patinated wood beneath.
