A wood-bodied inro decorated in lacquer with ceramic, shell, and pewter inlay depicting a pair of desiccated fish on a bed of leaves. To the front, the fish inlaid in pottery and leaves in shell and pewter with several lacquered. The verso has a larger fish in what I believe is pewter that has been oxidised/chemically treated by the artist to give a textured finish and appearance of dried fish skin. The fish is laid on a bed of leaves, one inlaid in ceramic, several in shell, and a single lacquered leaf.
The body of the inro formed from beautiful grained wood, highly polished with the inside of the case lacquered in gold.
Unsigned but in the manner of Ritsuo.
