A walrus tusk seal netsuke depicting a lotus leaf drooped in a conical shape on top of a base forming a seal. The stalk of the leaf running down the back of the netsuke forms the himotoshi. Various critters scurry across the surface of the leaf.
To the base, characters are cut that I believe translate to Shòu Shān Shi in Chinese. This could relate to Shoushan in China, which is well known for its beautiful stone production.
