A stag antler ryusa netsuke depicting a shishi seated on a rock, the shishi sporting a rather cheeky grin. A lone peony grows behind it and the rocks are pierced with openwork. To the reverse, a five-petaled flower radiates out from the central himotoshi, delicately carved in openwork with a warm yellow colour.
