
A seated horse in ebony wood. Seated with its legs drawn in and head turned back licking its hind leg. The mane is nicely incised and both eyes double inlaid. The underside has been deeply excavated between the legs to allow for the knot to be concealed. The opening of the himotoshi formed by a gap between the hind leg and the body.
