
A large wood netsuke depicting a content looking Hotei laid on a boat. Laidback with one arm behind his head and the other resting on his large belly. His sleeves trail down the sides of the boat. The surface of the boat is nicely worked with wood grain covering the entire surface, the himotoshi formed by one small and one large circular hole.
