A small oval four case inro depicting a pair of entertainers against a brownish-red polished ground. The female holds a fan in one hand wearing a highly decorative haori (jacket) with the character Kotobuki written inside. Kotobuki means happiness and long-life. To the verso, a dandy young man is wearing a pair of leggings under his Kimono. His kimono has the design of seven treasures, he is playing a traditional hand drum (Kotsuzumi).
The design lacquered in almost flat Hiramaki.
The internal compartments lacquered in nashiji and gold fundame
Signed – Shunsho with a red seal (in the manner of/after)
